The landlord: Toni
Anton Gostner, known as “Bacher Toni”, is the master of the house and taking care of the estate, that everything runs smoothly and in respect of the South Tyrolean tradition and hospitality. Constantly coming up with new ideas, the Bacher Toni makes sure that life gets never boring at the Bacher’stay – both in summer and in winter.
The lady of the house: Greti
Greti is the good soul of the house and always trying to make every guest’s wish come true. She’s keeping everything in order in and around the Bacher’stay and is spending every free minute beautifying the estate. And the results are made to be seen! Thanks to her, the house is surrounded by a sea of colourful blossoms year after year, which can be seen from afar.
The sporty sons: Christoph & Michael
Since 2013, us, Christoph and Michael, are running the family business, always eager to keeping in line with the tradition of the Bacherhof. With lots of effort and love for details we built up new apartments and are looking forward to welcoming you here.
As true sport addicts, we know the mountains by heart and are always happy to accompany you – on request – on your ski, bike or hiking adventure.
By now, the Bacherhof business is run by the third generation. At the beginning, it “only” was a simple, small farm, built into a dangerous hillside in the mountain village of St. Leonhard, above Brixen. In the night of February 13, 1951, an avalanche destroyed the entire farm. Anton Gostner senior and his family miraculously survived, but had lost everything and were left with nothing. Thanks to the help of the neighbours, the former Bacherhof could be rebuilt on a less dangerous place. Henceforth the Bacherhof was run as farm, until Anton Gostner junior inherited it and decided to built a guesthouse. With care and effort he continuously upgraded the guesthouse together with his wife Greti, in order to make sure that the guests always felt at ease in their home. Since 2013, us, the sons Michi and Christoph are running the Bacherhof. With the reconstruction and upgrade of the guesthouse to apartments in 2019 and with some fresh wind we are leading the Bacher’stay into a new age, with the aim to attract families, sports enthusiasts and activity or relaxing holiday-makers.

Our stay was beyond positive and something to remember!
The apartment had extremely comfortable bedding and all of the basic/necessary kitchen items we could have needed. The view was absolutely spectacular and very special!
