Sustainability You Can Feel at Bacher on the Plose
Naturally Bacher – with Respect for People & Nature
At Bacher, we are deeply rooted in the nature of South Tyrol.
For us, our homeland is more than just a backdrop – it’s the origin, a way of life, and the foundation we build on. That’s exactly why we treat it with care.
We focus on thoughtful, sustainable practices that you can feel – but that never get in the way.
So that the beauty and diversity of our surroundings will touch you tomorrow just as much as they do today – during your stay at our sustainable apartment hotel in Brixen.
Regional Products for Authentic Enjoyment
For us, sustainability doesn’t start in theory – but in everyday life, in the little things, and in every moment of indulgence.
Whether you treat yourself to something from our breakfast basket in the morning, open a bottle of wine in the evening, or grab a little something from the Bacher’s shop during the day – we focus on products from the region. Fresh, seasonal, consciously selected – from people we know. From farms that belong to South Tyrol just as much as our mountains – and that make your sustainable holiday in South Tyrol truly authentic.
Our Saltwater Pool
Our outdoor pool is completely chlorine-free – cleaned and regulated naturally with salt. This makes it gentle not only on your skin but also on the environment. In summer, the pleasantly soft water offers refreshing moments with panoramic views – surrounded by mountains, nature, and the comforting feeling of being exactly where you belong – your place for eco-friendly swimming in Brixen.
Energy efficiency and eco-friendly materials
Bacher is furnished with high-quality, locally produced materials. LED lighting in all rooms ensures reduced energy consumption. In addition, we generate a large part of our electricity ourselves – thanks to our own photovoltaic systems on the roof. Any additional energy we need comes from Alperia’s green power, helping us keep our carbon footprint as low as possible.
Naturally Heated – with Sun and Wood
When it comes to energy, we also rely on sustainability that makes sense.
Most of our hot water is generated by solar panels on the roof – efficient, clean, and powered directly by the sun. On particularly cold or cloudy days, what’s missing is covered with a combination of firewood and pellets – both resource-friendly and sourced from the region.
Gentle Mobility and Eco-Friendly Transport
To reduce the impact on the environment, we promote sustainable mobility. With the South Tyrol Guest Pass, you can use all public transport free of charge during your stay – including buses, trains, and several mountain lifts. For everyone who prefers to get around on two wheels, there are secure parking spaces for bikes and e-bikes, including a free charging station. And for guests with an electric car, we provide two charging stations on site – simple and convenient to use for a small fee.
Conscious Use of Resources
When cleaning our apartments, we rely on eco-friendly cleaning products with the ECO label. In the bathrooms, we use refillable dispensers for care products – to avoid plastic waste and conserve resources.
Our shower soap is produced exclusively for us, is bio-certified, and comes completely without unnecessary packaging – natural, high-quality, and gentle on both skin and the environment. In addition, we carefully separate waste and encourage our guests to do the same.
Your contribution matters
It’s often the little things that, together, make a big difference.
During your stay at Bacher, you too can contribute to sustainability – with little effort but a great impact:
- Bring your own bathing sandals from home
- Be mindful with water – when showering or washing your hands
- Take only as many towels as you really need for the sauna
- Separate waste – what is sorted properly can be reused
- Use energy consciously – for today, tomorrow & those who come after you
- A short moment of fresh air is enough – and helps save energy
- And most importantly: the drinking water at Bacher is top quality – please avoid plastic bottles in the room – a small step towards a sustainable stay in Brixen.
